Creamy Hot Cocoa

    1/3 c
  • half-and-half cream
    1/2 c
  • milk
    3.5 c
  • salt
    1 pinch
  • unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/3 c
  • vanilla extract
    3/4 tsp
  • white sugar
    3/4 c

    Combine unsweetened cocoa powder , white sugar and salt in a saucepan .

    Blend in boiling water .

    Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir.

    Simmer and stir for ⏱️ 2 minutes .

    Watch that it doesn't scorch.

    Stir in milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla extract .

    Divide between 4 mugs.

    Add half-and-half cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature.
